Strategies for Academic Success

Entering college comes with unique challenges and struggles, such as new responsibilities and unfamiliar environments. College students go through a period of transition and adjustment, which can often trigger stress and anxiety.

Here’s a list of things you can do to help accomplish your college goals:

  1. Practice using good time-management skills
  2. Make the most of your classes and your academic advisor
  3. Take advantage of campus resources (ex. The Learning and Writing Center, Disability Services, etc.)
  4. Allow yourself to make mistakes and try to learn from failure
  5. Stay active and involved on campus (as much as possible)- join clubs, participate in events
